Rafael started his journey in woodworking around 2019 upon moving to Easthampton MA and starting his own workshop. With a background in construction and energy efficiency technologies, he saw many aspects of what goes into a home and was exposed to incredible craftsmanship. Always tinkering and making things since childhood, he realized his passion for making could flourish in a woodworking career. Since then he’s focused his efforts on designing and building custom furniture using a mix of traditional and modern techniques. Each piece is crafted to bring out the natural beauty of the wood and meet the specific design elements of a space while striking a balance between form and function, and crafting pieces that speak to the aesthetic of the materials used.
